OUR
STORY

Your local Smith Rock gear shop and hangout for 30+ years

Redpoint Climbers Supply began as a small red shack in Terrebonne, Oregon, located just outside Smith Rock State Park. As the jagged rock of Smith became a mecca for sport climbing, Redpoint became the place to go before and after a day out at the crag.

Now located across the street at the turn-off for Smith Rock, Redpoint Climbers Supply continues to provide climbers with coffee, beer, and gear, with an emphasis on supporting local and creating community. Come say hey, let us know what you're currently stoked on, and we'll hook you up with a bevvie and some beta.

MEET THE OWNER

KYLE BONFERT

If you've ever been into Redpoint and gotten a beer, chances are you'll have run into Kyle talking up the local brew you're enjoying. Originally hailing from small-town Indiana, he first got into climbing when he moved to Reno in his early 20s. He quickly picked up and fell in love with the sport, and came out to Smith Rock in 2018 to hop on some of the most loved rock in the US. When he wasn't out climbing at Smith, he worked behind the counter at Redpoint and taught yoga at studios around Bend and Redmond.

A lover of community and supporting local, Kyle had the opportunity to buy Redpoint at the beginning of 2020 and had big plans for the business. When the pandemic hit, it was obviously devastating for most shops, but especially stressful as a new business owner. Despite it all, Kyle has managed to make Redpoint the best place to start and end a day out at Smith, and it shows in the way he makes people feel at home when they walk inside.

When he's not giving you all the beta on coffee, beer, and gear, you'll find Kyle out climbing in his favorite section of Smith - the Marsupials, doing yoga, cooking up a storm, or hanging out with his dog Bella.
